Legends Series | Jeff Gittus

There are two reasons why Jeff Gittus is loved and revered as a West Australian Speedway legend.
What he did on the side of Dennis Nash’s sidecar.
And what he did off it.
The perfect Robin for Batman.
Fiercely competitive on the bike but humble and genuine without the helmet.
You can’t find anyone to say a bad word about him, and that’s not surprising.
Ten years after his passing he is still a much loved and respected legend of sidecar and motorcycle racing.
Partnered with Nashy for seven short years they won two Australian Individual National Championships, one ‘best pairs’, two WA titles and a mountain of scratch races and handicaps.
Inducted into the Australian Speedway Hall of Fame in 2012 his sudden and tragic passing robbed the world of a passionate motorcyclist and racing champion but more importantly a wonderful human being and a champion bloke.
