Mechanic, Champion racer, Promoter, Announcer, Administrator.
A State and National Champion.
A “Jacko” award winner.
A Sedan icon with early roots in Sidecars and F500’s Peter’s legacy in Tasmanian motorsport is deep, broad and revered.
He won all the big ones on his native Apple Isle, but his reputation as a fierce but fair racer was legendary across ‘the big island’ too.
Though he also dabbled in various forms of ‘black top’ competition Aylett’s one true love was going sideways – on Tassie dirt.
A Hall of famer, a Life Member…an integral part of the Tasmanian Speedway fabric.
